Future X-Cops Official Movie Trailer

The official trailer for the movie Future X-Cops starring Barbie Xu and Andy Lau has been released for quite sometime. Now, the official posters have come out as we move towards the showing date.

The film is directed by Wong Jing and it is about a super hero from the future who travels back in time to protect a child who is pursued by assassins.

The film is will be released March 30th.

No Kissing with Hot Summer Days’ co-star Nicholas Tse

Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu has rated her Hot Summer Days co-star Nicholas Tse’s kissing a big, fat zero. She didn’t manage to smooch him in the movie, though they played lovers, as Nicholas decided to give intimate scenes a miss, out of respect for his wife Cecilia Cheung. The directors Tony Chan and Wing Shya manipulated camera angles to make the two leads look like they’re kissing.

At the Shanghai event, Nicholas reiterated his stance. “It wasn’t her (Cecilia), but my decision as I respect her.”

“The courage to love,” he declared. “Before Cecilia and I got married, people talked a lot behind our backs, but we made the sacrifices to be where we are now. That’s romantic.”

The 29-year-old star, who was last seen in the critically-acclaimed Bodyguards and Assassins, said Hot Summer Days allowed him a lot of creative space. Directors Tony and Wing later joked that he improvised so much he didn’t need a script.

Rain of Swords Plot Details and Characters Revealed

Barbie Hsu will be playing an assasin in a new Chinese Kung Fu film called “Rain of Swords”. The film already started its production November 3, 2009. At the opening ceremony, the plot details and characters were revealed. The US$12 million-budgeted film stars Michelle Yeoh, Jung Woo Sung, Paw Hee Ching, Wang Xue Qi, and Shawn Yue.

The film follows a love story between a retiring assassin (Michelle Yeoh) and a messenger (Jung Woo Sung) whose father was killed by the assassin’s former associates. The assassin is initially unaware of this, as well as the fact that her lover is well-trained in martial arts. Meanwhile, a character played by Wang Xue Qi wants a supremely powerful sword artifact in Yeoh’s possession. After locating her, Wang Xue Qi’s character sends out assassins played by Barbie Hsu and Shawn Yue to retrieve it.

John Woo has stated that it is by far the best wuxia (martial arts) script he had in years. Rain of Swords will eventually move to Hengdian and Taiwan before wrapping up in February and is due for release in the third quarter of 2010.

Barbie Xu Will Star in a Movie “Hot Summer”

Barbie Hsu (徐熙媛 ) is set to star in a new Chinese film directed by Director Wing Shya called “Hot Summer”. It’s a romantic comedy and is set for release next year. The movie has 6 love stories combined in which Barbie will play opposite Nicholas Tse in one of the love stories.

The movie also stars Jacky Cheung, Vivian Hsu, Daniel Wu, and Rene Liu.

XiaoS: Connected Movie breaks 10 Million in Taiwan

Da S and Louis played single parent in the movie “Connected” , because of this, Directior Chan, Louis Koo and Da S used their own money to invite 200 single parents to watch the movie.

In Hongkong, Da S has received high praises in her acting. DaXiao S thought that what they did was really meaningful.

Connected is currently being shown in Taiwan, yesterday, Xiao S came with Da S to support her, Xiao S, who never fails to joke around, said that if the movie breaks 10 million in Taiwan’s box office, Da S and ZZ have to reconcile, or Louis and Da S have to kiss in public with tongues involve, to make it worth watching!. As of now, Connected has just reached 2 million in Taiwan’s box office, seems like kissing Louis might still be impossible.

Yesterday, Xu Mama enjoyed watching “Connected”. In the movie, Da S daughter’s name is “Ting Ting”, it was Xiao S childhood nickname, therefore Da S thought that she had to save her younger sister while filming, on the other hand, Xiao S immediately said “My mom was thinking of Louis Koo while watching the movie”.
